WARNING: Suspicious Man Impersonates PSE&G Technician.

Just this evening we received a report of an unidentified man impersonating a PSE&G technician in Westwood.

Said individual was seen a couple of weeks ago in a Westwood neighborhood soliciting to enter a resident’s home.

He claimed that PSE&G was going to pave the street and wanted to replace pipes at the same time. The man insisted that he needed to inspect the meters inside the residence.

The resident said that the man wore an orange shirt, drove a white van, and had a clipboard, but no identification.

A call to PSE&G confirmed the resident’s suspicion about the man. PSE&G advised that no such individual was sent door-to-door in that neighborhood.

Area residents should be cautious about letting strangers into their homes.
