The Communist-Democrat traitors who carried out an unanswered coup in 2020 are the same people who brought you burn-loot-and-murder terrorism, gender pretenders in schools, no-cash bail, criminals released from prisons, wide open borders, fully-subsidized criminal illegal aliens in your backyard, international terror attacks against our allies, an illegal war against Russia, foreign spy balloons, out-of-control inflation and Federal debt, a state controlled fake news media, a weaponized “justice” department, and a criminal, serial sniffing, geriatric China puppet resident of the White House.
There’s no debate that gas prices are too high since the coup traitors stole America. But let’s look at the prices of more local goods.
Chinese food in the Pascack Valley has increased more than 40% in the last three years!! A lunch special that used to cost about $7 now costs more than $10. Have you gotten a 40% increase in salary in that time?
Chicken Delight of Hillsdale increased prices a couple months back. For instance, an $8 medium pizza now costs $9. If you’re thinking one dollar isn’t a big deal, well, that represents a 12.5% increase in price!! Are you making 12.5% more in salary over the last 3 years? No, didn’t think so. And remember, once prices increase, they never go back down. They only keep going up. An $8 medium pizza was a decent deal. At $9, not so much.
Just today, price increases hit Shop Rite of Emerson. For instance, bakery donuts that cost $0.99 yesterday are now $1.29, representing a 30% increase!!! Are you making 30% more today than yesterday? How about compared to 3 years ago? No, didn’t think so.
How about the price of milk? Shop Rite and Stop & Shop, both in Emerson, charge a whopping $4.59 for a gallon of milk!! Best bet is to buy milk at Trader Joe’s in Westwood to save about a buck on a gallon. But it’s only a matter of time before they raise prices—because they can.
It’s time for a new name for “dollar stores” that are no longer selling dollar items, like the one in Westwood. Now they are $1.25 stores!!! For the mathematically challenged, that’s a 25% increase in price. Are you making 25% more this year than last year?
Remember when grandpa would remark about the low cost of bread or milk compared to contemporary prices? Well, that’s YOU now. You are living through it.
