Look down in the gutter of any road in the Pascack Valley, NJ, and you will notice that the most prevalent litter is in the form of cigarette butts. It’s just despicable. Where do these smokers get off using the ground as their personal garbage dump?
This is a call for the local police to do something constructive and to stop turning a blind eye toward these destructive litter habits which impact personal and environmental health. Enforce the quality of life ordinances!
Cigarette butts are not readily degradable. Cigarette butts are litter. Don’t be a litter pig.

Why don’t you do something positive, instead of complaining about a meaningless problem that is not isolated in Westwood, but is infact prevalent all over the country. If you are really concerned for the enviornment, work on energy conservation, or anything that could make a difference. If I picked up every cigarette butt of the pascack valley line by hand, the world would not be a better place. Use your passion to do anything besides be a winer, Pascack Valley has enough snoty Old people

Cigarette butt are a BIG! problem in the environment. How would you feel if you knew that nicotine is present in the water supply anywhere in the world because of ignorant smokers! Umm kids drink the water!
